A Little Bit About Me
My name is Jose (Yusef) Confesor. I am revert. since last year. It is a long story how I reverted/converted to Islam.

I am a simple guy. I was born in the USA but my family is from Mexico. I live in NYC. I am 5'11 about 180. People describe me as family oriented, honest, goal driven, always happy easygoing and lay back.

The most important people in my life are my parents. They are not Muslim, but catholic. I love my parents deeply especially my mother that has two mental illnesses. She lives in a nursing home. I visit her every week as much as I can. I buy her flowers, take her out and spend time with her.
She is the happiness and kindest women I know.

My father is a good man. He is still married to my mother for over thirty years even after she was diagnosed, lost her memory and had multiple operations. He stated he still loves her ever since they met. His marriage is the reason why I believe in monogamy marriage.A role model to be a husband and father. He taught me a man should work,cook, clean, raise children on his own and love his wife. He is not in the best of health, as he cant walk well. I live with him because he needs my help.

I am vegetarian. I believe our society consumes, overeats and uses meat and animal products too much. I love the environment as well. I am earth friendly. I love cats. I use to own two that past away. As for now, I love feeding stray cats.

I am charitable, loving, giving back. I could never say no to some one in need. I love working with individuals with developmental disabilities as it is my profession. I am a case Manager with adults with developmental disabilities/Special Needs I am currently studying in Graduate School for Special Education. I love the field and won't trade my job and profession in the world. It is rewarding and a reason why I go to work every day. I love to help people who are less capable.

I believe in education. I have a bachelors in Psychology and Music Performance. I am also a certified aviation mechanic.

I studied Music in College as I have a Bachelors. I studied guitar. I believe it is the way we use music. The reason being is because I was a intern as music therapist with children with special needs. When speech therapy, physical therapy, occupational therapy failed, Music therapy helped children with special needs to communicate, express emotion, speak and walk.

I enjoy Classical and Jazz Music. I cant stand pop and hip hop music.

I love going to the gym. I enjoy running. I did the half marathon with a goal to run a full marathon. I love reading many books. I love seeking new knowledge. There is so many books i read and plan to read.

Even prior to Islam. I never had a Girlfriend or been in a relationship. I never even kiss a girl. It's hard to believe but I do not have much luck with women. In Shaa Allah I will meet the one who will take my breath away and I will take her Jannah.

I love coffee. I love to laugh. I would to love to see the world and travel.

I believed Islam is through our action. Islam has brought the best out of me. It didn't teach me to love but reminded me why and how i should love all creatures especially my family. Islam made me peaceful because it reminded how to be peaceful. I treat everyone like a Human being and not to discriminate what religion, race, ethnicity or national. I believe we are all equal in the eyes of Allah. My life is temporary. I should not be proud but be humble.

I am currently learning Arabic.

What I Am Looking For
I am looking for a sister in the tri-state that fears Allah and prays 5 times a day. The reason why tri-state is because my parents are not in the best of health. I want to be close to them.

I do not care if you wear hijab or not. As long as you are modest, kind to your parents and love all human being.

My wife has to be educated. I am sorry my wife cant be a home maker. Even though I will work to provide for her and my family, she has to love seeking knowledge and be goal driven. An educated mother will raise more educated children.
